"I ran because I wanted more fit and lose weight," said Sosa Springs. "I've never had a runner at school and nothing happened. I started with one mile, go very slowly, and then I worked on me. "
Running, she said, helped her both physically and emotionally, give him time to reduce stress to gather ideas and events of the day.
"If you're out of the race, it's just you. You're only there on a race with your thoughts and nothing else. I'm much better mom and I'm better at my job because I feel better "said Sosa Springs." It's pretty simple - it is the feeling that I meet that "someone like me" just ran the race. "
Although Sosa has done several 5K races Springs and about five half-marathons, this is his first time, a full marathon of 26.2 miles. Since it was his first marathon, she did not have a time goal, hoping that in the end.
Although most of them have done their training, Sosa has won Springs valuable information on LAPS. She joined the group when they decided to start running. Through this program, she made some friends and get lots of information on lifestyle running.
"I have great relationships with LAPS done," said Sosa Springs. "It's just a good environment, and you meet other runners."
LAPS began in 2009 when Mike Burton began sending a list of his Yahoo account. Two years later, the organization has grown from four to nearly 100 members.
LAPS is "an organization with the sole purpose of providing local runners information, support and networking opportunities built. Emphasis is placed on runners of all levels, "the group's Web page.
Although she said her only goal is to end, "said Sosa Springs, she receives great satisfaction when she crosses the finish line after a race.
