San Francisco regions Hill Get dusting of snow - San Jose Mercury News

SAN FRANCISCO-The National Weather Service says parts of San Francisco, a blanket of snow received light.

Meteorologist Mark Strobin said that the town of Twin Peaks neighborhood and other areas over 400 meters was a small amount of snowfall in the late evening on Friday and Saturday morning.

He said it was in the sea near the city center as snow and rain fell later disappeared quickly.

The city last saw snow on the ground in 1976, during a thumbs down.

Strobin said it's too early to say how these events are recorded in the books official weather.

The snowstorm that dumped over 2 feet of snow in the mountains of the Sierra Nevada.
