On the Tonight Show with Jay Leno, the actor recalled an incident that has been in Hawaii
"I'm on a wave, probably too big for me," he said.
"I went back to the board and kind of took [in] the air and the board came back and hit me on the forehead, and got 24 points."
Wilson also admitted that he was afraid of sharks attacked once his wound began to bleed.
"I thought the shark when I was paddling back - with a little blood flows - in the same bay where my brother was attacked recently," he said.
He has since recovered fully from the accident.
