Carlo mourns longtime employee, Plus, swimmers Stevens wins awards - Patch

Stevens Institute of Technology has two student-athletes, the conference on Monday were named Empire 8 swimmer of the week.

Senior Laura Barito won the women's swim team. In the last week, she participated in three winning relay teams, according to two individual victories and two second places, including two new records of De Baun Aquatic Center. Before SUNY New Paltz, swam the 50-yard freestyle in Barito a new personal best of 23.46 seconds. They also set the pace for the 100 meter freestyle, finishing in 52.18.

On the men's side John Hu won the prize after his four races, including a comparison of New Paltz and three against TCNJ. He won the 200-yard situations, the 200 yard butterfly and 200 yard breaststroke.
