I-29 opens in Grand Forks to the Canadian border - wday

North Dakota Department of Transportation (NDDOT) and the Highway Patrol North Dakota (NDHP) opened I-29 from Grand Forks to the Canadian border.

I-94 east of Jamestown to Fargo and I-29 from the border of South Dakota in Grand Forks CLOSED. Since the state of sanitation and current conditions, these segments are expected to remain closed in the interstate on Sunday. The road is still impassable, and it is driving against the law, passing a roadblock on a highway closed.

A No Travel Advisory remains in Eastern North Dakota by blowing snow. Cities that are in the opinion No Travel: Casselton, Fargo, Wahpeton, Hillsboro and surrounding areas.

A travel warning is in effect for Grand Forks, areas east of Bismarck, Steele, Napoleon, Linton, flashers, Selfridge, Valley City, Jamestown, Edgeley area. The conditions are such that motorists still drive, but they should know that conditions can change quickly would result in delays due to reduced speed and visibility.
