[Updated at 4:03 p.m. ET] A spokesman for the Attorney General of Chihuahua state, denied reports Friday that Valles Marisol Garcia - the woman aged 20, made headlines when Mexico was the chief Police Praxède - left the country for the United States.
Spokesman Arturo Sandoval was referring to what El Diario newspaper attributed to Jorge Gonzalez and Nicolas, the Attorney General for the Northern District of Chihuahua.
"He gave a press conference," Sandoval said CNN. "We deny reports that Nicolas said, she fled to the United States."
